Temporary Assistant Lecturer in Chinese (Assignment Basis)

One Confucius Institute vacancy, Faculty of Arts. Requires Chinese specialisation degree: First/Second Upper preferred, then Second Lower; or Chinese degree without honours/other degree with Second Class plus relevant PhD or research Masters (24 months full-time/equivalent part-time, or 18 months with 60 credits including 15 research credits). Must teach in English, have one academic year of Chinese teaching, HSK5 score ≥180 and HSKK Intermediate ≥60. Sri Lankan citizenship or qualifying permanent/long-term residence required; Chinese students excluded. International Chinese Teacher Certificate preferred. Basic pay Rs.103,000/month (01-01-2025) plus cost-of-living allowance and EPF/ETF. Initial six-month contract; renewal subject to approval. Deadline: 10 November 2026.
